5-C Model of Communication

Cooperation is the balance between individual needs and group priorities. It’s the mindset of “we,” not just “me.” Through cooperation, team members respect one another’s roles, recognize different points of view, and move forward with mutual support.

Compromise isn’t giving in, it creates space for everyone’s voice to be heard. It’s about blending diverse perspectives to find workable solutions that reflect shared values and priorities. When communication is clear and respectful, compromise feels like progress, not a loss.

Consensus is the result of clear communication and inclusive engagement. It happens when everyone feels heard, valued, and invested in the outcome. Reaching consensus means conversations have been meaningful, collaboration has been genuine, and solutions are built to last.
